What do you get when you combine the industrial noise of Nine Inch Nails with the grainy aesthetic of cheesy 80's horror movies, and throw in the album release cadence of post-1993 Guns N' Roses?
You get Gorecrow, a beast crafted in the spirit of John Carpenter and Luigi Russolo with an unhealthy dose of black metal, industrial metal and an avante-garde mindset obsessed with noise and ambience. Gorecrow was born under the full moon of an October night in 2013, and has since refused to die. It is the brainchild of Ry-Gloon and Sorn, two technophobic technologists hell bent on circuit bending their way to the depths of sonic exploration, and with no concern for the innocent minds corrupted along the way.
Equipped with an arsenal of synthesizers, drum machines, fuzz pedals and a disturbing number of noise making machines, Gorecrow has recorded several albums in various styles, with absolutely no regard for the music taste of their listeners. Pick a track and give it a listen, but remember: you were warned.
